Don’t worry, be happy. The “goodism” strategy
Have you seen Mr. Zapatero (ZP) upset over the last four years? Yes, I have. But he cares a lot to not show this big side of his personality, and, if he does, he tries to do it as a response for a provocation. It is never a provocation, but the supporting media transform whatever phrase from the opposition to a provocation.
The strategy from ZP during all this years has a smiling face, and a mouth full of the word “dialog”. Whatever is an offense from the Spanish country, whether coming from inside (ETA or separatist parties such as the basque based PNV, ERC from Catalonia, BNG from Galicia, etc.) or coming from outside (Mr. Chavez, the pirates, etc.) will use the same smile. And, what is worse, the indication he uses to communicate is that… nothing happens. Nothing to worry about.
Let’s point out to an example. In the Iberoamerican summit of Chile, it was to be the King of Spain, Juan Carlos the First, who stop Mr. Chavez, the president of Venezuela, insulting Spain through by offending a former President of Spain. Did you remember Mr. Zapatero behaviour? Well, he was just stammering “Well… Let me… Let me…” This is a clear example on the foreign relationships. Avoiding conflicts just because… Nothing happens.
What about inside Spain? Well, it was the same. Are we on a economic crisis on Spain? Not at all. Are you sure, Mr. ZP? Yes, I am sure, and you are not a patriot, because of saying this. Is there a conflict between the different regions of Spain because of the Catalonian new Statute of Autonomy? Not at all. Nothing will happen. You are simply alarming the Spanish society. And yes, it happens. In Catalonia the young people cannot study Spanish on the schools. But nothing is happening.
Don’t worry. Be happy. The narcotization of the Spanish society is in his highest peak. This is the “goodism” strategy of ZP.
