It’s a long way home
I am reading the news on the digital media, specially regarding to the judgement regarding the demand that Mr. Gallardón (current mayor of Madrid) has put against the journalist Federico Jiménez Losantos, for Mr. Gallardón’s declarations on the need not to investigate more the terrorist attacks on 11-March in Madrid.
The conclusion I am obtaining is that there was a clear defecation (let me call it this way) of the politics of the Popular Party, PP. A clear perfidy for those media (digital, newspapers, radios and TVs) that help them on the last four years to support theirselves. Those media that were offering spaces, speechs, columns, etc., even on the recent times, very hard for the PP, and very hard for those who defecate.
It is clear that the PP is turning dangerously to be a PSOE-bis. It is clear that they are running away from those media that they are pointing out now as extremists. It is clear that, on this road to nowhere, the PP has to cut the chains with those who helped. But the problem is not that: the problem is that there were people defended by media that now they are betraying. Is like biting the hand that feeds them (without the “like”).
This has two meanings. First is that the road to nowhere is a nonsense, but… who cares? Let them be destroyed by themselves. Let them be smashed against the same old wall. The other consequence is the loneliness of those medias from now on. It could be a loneliness, but they have people behind them that read their newspapers; listen to their radios, watch their TV. More people that the PP votes on the Autonomic Region of Madrid, the Autonomic Region of Valencia, or Ávila.
We will walk alone this path of loneliness, it is a long way home. And we are accustomed to it; we have been four years walking, and helping them to walk, under more difficult circumstances. At the end, they will come to ask for something.
