The donkey of the minister

•July 9, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Yesterday, the Audiencia Nacional (the Spanish Court) published a debatable judgement over the manipulation on the reports of the scientific department of the Spanish police on the terrorists attacks on the 11-March on Madrid. I am not a legal expert to analyze the judgement, but for me is extremely clear, by reading it, that the reports of the experts were manipulated or changed.

First, let me express that I do not believe on Justice on Spain. Justice, specially on this type of matters, is extremely politicized. What can one expect from the Justice on a country on which the political afiliation (on a strict or on a figurative sense) is more inportant that the facts themselves? What can one expect from a Justice on a country where the judges are more know that their judgements? What can one expect from the Justice in Spain when the judges, specially on the Supreme Court, are elected by the political colour than by their knowledge, when there are judges from other countries that entered on the judiciary career on Spain from the back door? Nothing but political judgements.

Mr. Rubalcaba, the PSOE spokesman that violated the reflection day on March, 13th that year, insisting on “Spain does not deserve a government that lies”, is violating again the common sense. Mr. Rubalcaba (and media like El País) are defying the PP (Partido Popular) to forget that facts, to desist in the attempt, in the need, of knowing all the truth about those attacks. Why?

It is clear that the truth, most likely, will not benefit the PSOE. Were the socialists who violated the reflection day on March, 13th. Where the socialists (Mr. Zapatero in front of them) who called the media insisting on distracting the attention and hindering the work of the Aznar government, whom they were asking for real time information. Where the SER radio station who said that rests of islamic terrorists were found on the trains with several underpants. So… who is hiding the truth? Who is looking to know anything about the terrorists attacks?

The ask of Mr. Rubalcaba to “stoop the donkey” (to desist) is applicable to him. He has a donkey, with a police inspector face, from which he does not want to stoop. But there is not a problem for a person who lives on the manipulation and the lie. The next step will be, as it as be on another similar affair, to promote inspectos to the position of admirals, or generals.

The shade of the intelect

This week-end was the national Congress of the PSOE. On this, the socialist party proposed a set of initiatives for the next four-years period: laicism, abortion, euthanasia. This is the real recipe for the Spanish society. And, over all, the real purpose is to change the Spanish society. This is the real purpose of the Spanish Prime Minister, Mr. Zapatero. The change of the Spanish society for preventing the alternative on the government.

While the predictions of most of economicts are below the predictions of the government, and with the recession closer and closer, Mr. Zapatero showed himself his real face: the indifference for the situation of the Spanish people, and the haughty innate that used to appear, like a trend, for all the inhabitants of La Moncloa. He wants to change the Spanish society but… does the Spanish society wanted to be changed?

Abortion, euthanasia, laicism are not an answer to the Spanish needs. And Mr. Zapatero knows it. But wants something to divert the attention of the Spanish people, something to distort the reality. The problem is that the things Mr. Zapatero is using to divert the attention are their real purposes, the purposes of a mason who hates the foundations of the Spanish society.

The image of the Spanish Minister of Equality on the Gay and Lesbian Parade on Madrid last week-end is the image of the change in Spain, but… were the real gays and lesbians on that parade? Not at all. This is the contradiction: Mr. Zapatero wants to impose a moral scheme in opposition of the desires of the Spanish society. But… Mr. Zapatero knows that there is a sector of the Spanish society that is prepared for this change, not because they are willing to but because this is indifferent for them, and thus is acceptable.

In the meantime, the conservative party, looking for another side, inmersed in his internal fights, has nothing to oppose, not even the ideas. Not even their intelect; not even a shadow of it. With the exception of Mrs. Aguirre, who sees the things clearly: the ultimate purpose of Mr. Zapatero, the lack of alternation in the Spanish government, is a symbol of a dictatorship. That is exactly what Mr. Zapatero wants to be: a dictator.

The think tank of the leftists…

•July 4, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Mr. Zapatero entrusted Mr. Caldera (former Spanish Minister of Work) the creation of a think tank on the left, similar to FAES, the think tank of the right in Spain, associated to the PP, Partido Popular.

Mr. Caldera, previously of being Minister of Work, was with the PSOE on the opposition to the government of Mr. Aznar, as speaker of this party on the Spanish Congress. There are few remarkable things that can be said regarding Mr. Caldera; the most famous was the use of the tipex (by Mr. Caldera) to manipulate a report, regarding the Prestige affair, eliminating words that he would not like to be public.

Furthermore, when on the government, Mr. Caldera, as Mr. Zapatero government, did nothing profitable to the Spanish people. as Minister of Work. Nothing remarkable, nothing profitable. Now, on the second legislature, he was pulled out of the government by Mr. Zapatero, with the idea of creating a think tank on for the leftist. Now, more than three more later, Mr. Caldera is lost on this work, as he was on the Ministery. He is confronting the opposition of people like Alfonso Guerra, former ex-vicepresident of the Spanish government on the era of Felipe González, who leads one of the most importants think tanks on the left on Spain.

Mr. Caldera is useless. Useless as he was on the opposition, and as he was on the government., Mr. Caldera has find, finally, his last destination. A road to nowhere.

Uribe vs. Zapatero

•July 3, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Today is a good day, a very good day. The liberation of Ingrid Betancourt. This is a victory of president Uribe’s efforts in fighting the terrorism.

Mr. Uribe fighting against terrorism is the cornerstone of his government since the very beginning. He agreed with United States of America for collaborating in the fighting against terrorism, in several ways: by teaching or coaching the Colombian army on tactics, tools ans intelligence; by having more resources such as helicopters; etc. But this is not the only actions he took. He increased the police on the cities (and now cities such as Medellín and Bogotá are analysed as an example on the increase of the security); and proclaimed laws to enforce the security and the democracy, and he tried to beat guerrilla on its own territory, reducing more and more the power of the guerrilla on remote places. And also, tried to convince its neighbor countries of the necessity of combat the terrorism. One can doubt about his methods, but the truth is that Uribe’s popularity in Colombia is high all over his mandates.

Mr. Uribe is an example of combating the terrorism on all the fronts. As opposite to Mr. Zapatero.

Mr. Zapatero negotiated with ETA, offering not only a relaxed attitude towards the terrorists, but also territorial concessions such as Navarre. Mr. Zapatero denigrated the victims of the terrorism, who had to manifest for several times on the streets of not only Madrid but also the rest of Spain. Mr. Zapatero did not showed any sign of willing to beat the terrorists but to dialog with them. Mr. Zapatero allowed to ETA (or its political arms) to be presented on the Spanish municipal elections, but only to those candidacies that were not threatening the supremacy of the PSOE. Mr. Zapatero is using the terrorism for its own benefit.

The difference between Mr. Uribe and Mr. Zapaterois basically the difference between a man with a huge vision of state, who looks for his country, who fights for his people, and a man who is only wanting to take personal and political profit of the terrorism.

But looks around a lot…

It does not do nothing, but looks around a lot…

There is a complex and continuous attack to the Spanish (both people and language) by the nationalists in Spain. A complex attack on different directios: from the north, from the west, from the east, etc. An attack that, although, apparently, is not coordinated, it is indeed.

Yesterday there is an initiative from the Basque Autonomic government that imposes the shops and point of sales to talk in Euskera (that is, the basque language). Another attack to the freedom. The excuse is that it is necessary to defend the Euskera from the Spanish. But this is false. It is only victimism. The only politic that the Basque Autonomic government is doing is imposing the Euskera to the Basque population, relegating to a background the Spanish language. There was before an initiative to put on a higher level, for the doctors, the knowlegde of Euskera rather to the medicine-related knowledge. So… what is the point here? The point is to differentiate, to sow (that is exactly what the Basque Autonomic region is doing from the very beginning of the democracy in Spain) the nationalism, the difference, in order to collect or gather later on, but as soon as possible.

It is clear for example on the reaction of Mr. Pujol, former president of the Catalonian Autonomic Region, to the Manifest to Support the Spanish Language. Mr. Pujol says that “the pretension is to snatch Catalonua every possibility of acting as a colectivity, every access to the collective rights”. Well, Mr. Pujol was the impeller of the differentiation and the imposition of the Catalonian on the Spanish. He was who promoted the regional laws and initiatives to discriminate the Catalonian. What “collective rights” are Mr. Pujol referring to? The collective rights of the Spanish?

And, on the meantime, Mr. Zapatero is hiding the head on a hole. Mr. Zapatero and his government denies the problem (as Mrs. De La Vega did). While the Catalonian, the Basque, the Balearic and the Galician autonomic governments are constantly violating the Spanish, Mr. Zapatero is doing nothing. It is like the Spanish joke: he does not do nothing, but looks around a lot…

The goal of Zapatero

•July 1, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Now that the European Championship of Football has como to its end, it is time to make some reflections. First of all, and it is more true than ever, Spain is a nation. A nation full of people proud to be Spanish (remember the chant “Yo soy español, español, español”). A nation of people that is proud to wear the red t-shirt, and capable of reaching the success.

Second. The maxim “bread and circus” has become true again. Mr. Zapatero, his government, and the related media, have taken profit of the situation in order to make the Spanish forget or put aside the reality: the economic crisis, the débacle of the Spanish economy, the increase of the unemployment… Now the championship has gone, but… well, the vacations are coming… Two months of tranquility… There are analysts who are saying that the petroleum will be at 170 $/barrel, interest rates at maximum… but this is time to take a breath for the Spanish government.

Third. The attempt to distort the reality and the past by the related media to the government: Cuatro, SER and the Prisa group. Calling “the red” to the Spanish team, and calling the “Red square” to the Colombus Square on Madrid is a clear attempt to distort and divert the Spanish about the real roots of Spain (who has never been red…)

Fourth Mr. Zapatero can presume now of being “the first president on the democracy” on whom mandate Spain has won an European championship. This is true. But he did nothing to deserve this honor. Nothing. He is not capable of naming the word “España”. Mr. Zapatero would like to do as he was the one to kick that ball, and of course he will be acting as he will, but … he did not.

(Mr. Zapatero can presume also of being the worst president ever on the Spanish nation…)

And lastly: Mr. Zapatero is a jinx. There are two things, related to the luck, that exceed that jinx of Mr. Zapatero: the positive luck of the Spanish Kings, and the jinx of Ballack. Mr. Zapatero is a jinx, and always will be.

Is it this social politics?

•June 30, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Mr. Zapatero did some declarations this sunday about the crisis (well, he does not want to name it this way, but it is a crisis), and the priorities of its ministers and government.

Mr. Zapatero said yesterday that he, and his government, cannot resign to go deeper and deeper on his social politics. And he did some examples: he will not resign to attack the hunger in the world, and he will go deeper in the economic helps to the third world, to help the poorest countries.

Today Mr. Blanco, the secretary general of the PSOE, is defending the social politics of the government, asking to the PP what investments should be resigned due to the crisis: the high speed train to Valencia or Santiago de Compostela, for example?

Well, first of all. Mr. Blanco is, as always, a demagogue. He is inept and fool. He cannot know that even in crisis times there are investments that should be done. Which ones? Those that allow the growth of the country. For instance, infrastructures.

But the real thing is neither Mr. Zapatero nor Mr. Blanco does not know to handle crisis, as any socialist cannot do. Mr. Zapatero is talking about silly things, diverting the attention. In crisis times, it is very important to prioritize the investments, and, as any housewife, it is important to reduce the extra costs. And investing in reducing the hunger in the world sounds good, but it is not important at all to the Spanish people. It is not important at all for the growth in Spain. What is social politics? Nothing important to the Spanish. When a housewife does not have nothing to eat, he cannot give anything to her neighbor.

The difference between a demagogue and a leader is that the first always talks about nothing, empty words. The second just acts. The first (like Mr. Zapatero and Mr. Blanco) diverts the attention and do not act at all. What did Mr. Zapatero until now to beat the crisis? Nothing. Diverting. Acting as new riches with the money of the Spanish. That is exaclty that he will do from now. Because he does not know do to anything else.

Suggestion for the next Microsoft Word spelling release

•June 27, 2008 • Leave a Comment

There are a lot of things that happens in Spain, but now, instead of talking about the crisis, the inflation (the worst inflation on Spain from a long time ago), the attacks of the nationalisms on Spain (with the new attack to the integrity from Ibarreche), etc., I would like to talk about other things, less critical.

Taking into account the different issues opened in Spain by their ministers, there is clear that new words should be added to the Spanish vocabulary, the Spanish dictionary. New words to include tendencies of the youngests, leftists people, and also to adapt to the galician slang for the “beautiful people”, and so on.

So, new suggestions should be taken into account for the next release of Microsoft Word spelling tool in Spain. These are my suggestions:

  • Include in the dictionary words such as miembra, miembre;
  • Include words such as ineto, ato, corruto, etc.
  • Include words such as doceavo, treceavo.
  • Include different aceptions for words such as talante, facha, nacionalcatolicismo.

Centre, women, dialog, future, … sex, drugs and rock’n'roll

•June 25, 2008 • Leave a Comment

Mr. Rajoy keeps touring among the related media, insisting on his strategy of “being on the centre”. Mr. Rajoy spoke yesterday on the SER radiostation, leftist oriented, and had a chat with the radio commentator Mr. Francino. And he explained his idea of the new era on the PP: the marianismo.

It comes to be a period on the PP where Mr. Aznar, the former Spanish president, is someone about whom being ashamed. And so did Mr. Rajoy. Also, he explained the new concept on the PP, summarized on four words: centre, women, dialog, future. There is nothing else: happiness for everybody and being happy to be on the oposition.

Mr. Rajoy is completing his strategy designed time ago, where he decided to apply again to be the leader of the PP. The first was to blame the persons of reference on the PP: Mr. Acebes (who links the new PP with the obsession of knowing the true about the terrorist attacks on the 11-M, and thus with the legitimization of Mr. Zapatero, converted on a de-legitimization of Mr. Rajoy for the PSOE); Mr. Zaplana (idem); Mr. Pizarro (who links Mr. Rajoy with his electoral debacle on March, 9th); Ms. San Gil (with links Mr. Rajoy with any extremist position with regard to the fight of the terrorism); and so on. The second step was to blame the COPE and El Mundo – radiostation and newspaper -, which links Mr. Rajoy again with extremist positions. And the third is to break the link with Mr. Aznar, who links Mr. Rajoy (according to him) with extremist position too.

Now Mr. Rajoy, similar to Mr. Zapatero after being elected on March, 11th, 2.004, whose first interview was on the hostile media COPE, did his first interview on the SER radiostation. What is the purpose of this? Mr. Rajoy, similar to Mr. Zapatero, liked to demonstrate his centrist character. With a difference: while Mr. Zapatero had nothing to loose, Mr. Rajoy will not win anything. Mr. Zapatero demonstrated valor to his bases; Mr. Rajoy wanted to capture the “centrists” votes, but… does the centrists listen to the SER radiostation?

The second point of this strategy was the declarations of Mr. González Pons (from PP), asking the Catholic Church in Spain to support the PP through the COPE radiostation. Well, this is nothing but curious, since the PP and Mr. Rajoy were the ones to blame before the COPE. Curious, but this is another milestone on the strategy of the new PP.

Seems to me that Mr. Rajoy strategy is, in its origin, empty as Mr. Zapatero’s personality. He has nothing new to sell, because he is from a long time on politics, and also because the change on one person, even in politics, is impossible on three weeks or three months. And, because this emptiness, Mr. Rajoy has, similar to Mr. Zapatero, the need to sell only slogans. Here is my recomendation to him: centre, women, dialog, future, sex, drugs and rock’and’roll. It is better than yours, and more leftist.

Ideas to save 20 million €

•June 25, 2008 • Leave a Comment

On monday, Mr. Zapatero, the president of the Spanish government, presented the Economic Report of the President of the Government. There are some aspects to highlight. The first is, although there is an economic crisis in Spain, he still refuses to use this term and now is talking of serious difficulties. Another nice term. This remember me that maybe Mr. Zapatero has listen lastly to Supertramp, and to their record “Crisis. What crisis?”, and applies this to the Spanish economy.

Secondly, he announced the reduction of the offering for public work on a 30%. The real thing is that, on the last three years, the public workers increased on a 29%, but on the autonomies on Spain. This is out of the scope of the central administration, true, but, at the end, the Spanish government will pay for this, due to the compensation mechanisms that exists on the State of autonomies.

Associated to this, he will not increase the salary of the high scales of the public workers, the managers. This is a good measure, taking into account that the number of that “managers” has increase on a 55% since he is governing (or doing as he governs) Spain.

And, most ridiculous, he will reduce the public expenditure on… 20 million € (20 M€)! This is the great initiative of Mr. Zapatero. Well, if this is his only way to reduce substantially the public expenditure, I can give him more hints to do so:

  1. Eliminate the economic office associated to the President of Spain. It is doing nothing but not assessing the Spanish president.
  2. Reduce the initiatives to remodel or refurbish places where Mr. Zapatero and his family will go on vacation.
  3. Eliminate (I know you are doing some exercising on this) the expenditure on the international summits by sleeping at home.
  4. Minimize the initiatives of your government on modifying books. Adding words to the Spanish Dictionary implies to issue more copies, with the waste of paper.
  5. Eliminate the public publicity campaings that add nothing to the Spanish citizens but just propaganda.
  6. Eliminate the acts with the actors, actresses, singers and all that people.
  7. Talk to the members (he-members and she-members) of your government to reduce the expenditure on suits and clothes.

Hope this helps.
